Installation

Granite is a natural and durable but labour intensive countertop option that is beyond the realm of a do-it-yourself project. Like solid surface materials, granite stone is cut and polished off-site, including cut outs for sink openings. This demands a lot of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and coordination to make measurements and templates correct. Depending on your project, the most common way to secure the stone would be with silicone adhesive and concrete or mechanical braces. Our experienced installers are noted for their exceptional work which is something that we take pride in! When they are done you will be impressed with almost invisible seams where any pieces of stone are joined. Scheduling a fabricator is often a matter of timing and coordination (since many fabricators prefer to wait until the cabinets are in).

What you need to know:

Prior  to Installation:
Prior to your installation date you must empty all bottom cabinets of any contents. We are not responsible for any electrical or leveling of cabinet work. Bar or island brackets must be installed prior to installation, if supplied by you.
 
At time of Installation:
The decision maker must be present during the installation. Please have all appliances, sinks, faucets, cooktops or slide-in stove on site in order to have your project installed successfully.

After installation:
If you chose to go with our plumbing re-connection package, our installers will notify the plumber and he will give you a call to make arrangements. In most cases plumbing will be re-connected for you withing an hour after the countertops were installed.
